Piedmont Community Impact

The Helping Hands Emergency Assistance Program is available to families and individuals facing a housing or utility crisis and without resources to resolve the crisis.  The assistance provides eligible clients with partial payments for past due rent and utility bills.

The Center collaborates with Lynchburg Community Action Group, Salvation Army, Interfaith Outreach, DAWN and the United Way of Central Virginia as well as other sources in the region to pool the necessary funds in meeting the specific need of each client.

Interfaith Outreach Association

Interfaith Outreach Association strives to relieve distress and improve the quality of life for our neighbors in need by providing programs that offer education, guidance, and support. IOA serves as a vehicle for interfaith cooperation in Central Virginia whereby congregations become members of IOA and enter into partnerships with each other, their respective denominations, and community agencies to accomplish its mission. We, as a Roman Catholic faith community, are called to serve those in need in our local community.   Our parish family provides funds to support this ministry through our social ministry collection on the first weekend of each month.
